Children learn by playing, observing, collecting, painting, experimenting and crafting. They learn by turning all their attention to their environment by touching, exploration and changing. Learning by creative exploring promotes interlaced thinking und inspires imagination. The development of a positive attitude towards nature creates an understanding of nature and environment protection. The limitation of the offer to girls provides the chance to experience male dominated activities und to try out their own abilities without being disturbed.
In the first months a discovery tour in the neighbourhood was made, which opened up a different and new perspective on the own living quarter. In the workshop the girls were sensitized for the diversity of materials, their properties and applications and learned the secure handling of different tools. They built a system of cubes for the presentation of small objects in the school’s showcase. These works were handed over to the headteacher. The girls received a BAUFACHFRAUEN-diploma for their achievements.
