Since several years we very successfully carry out ideas and construction workshops with children, youths, elderly people and particularly girls. Many participants have a migration background. People living in socially disadvantaged quarters contribute to the improvement of their neighbourhood, for instance in construction and design workshops, leisure centres or public sports facilities and playgrounds.
The special thing about of the ideas and construction workshops is the joint execution of a project task from A to Z. It starts with the inventory determination and the ascertainment of demand, for example by interviews and photo safaris, followed by a creative collection of ideas. Model making is the basis for the execution planning. In teamwork ideas are carried out in the construction workshops and the results are presented to the public. The workshops are creative locations of social learning, they provide vocational orientation and enhance technical abilities. Finally the participants receive a ‚workshop diploma’
