Renewable energies are considered to be a future market offering long-term career opportunities. In the still young branch skilled personnel is urgently needed. Due to the increasing export market more than 500.000 jobs are expected in the year 2020. Especially in the creative environment of smaller companies diverse jobs and career profiles emerge.
In spite of formally equal educational opportunities females are outnumbered in technical professions. The energy industry ranks among the most male dominated technology sectors, this also applies to the renewable energies.
The touring exhibition Prima Klima für Frauen presents the different careers of nine women by explaining their particular development, opinion and perspectives. Renewable energies are described as a field, which demands various professional profiles in research, development, planning and consulting.
